Bellarmine University off-campus living is perfect for those who prefer living on their own and those who aren't fond of the rules students must follow inside a dormitory. No one will ever make you sign in or out when you leave your building, and there is no one waiting to ensure you come home by a certain time every night. As much as you might love the freedom you have, you may worry about where to study. The best study spots near Bellarmine University let you complete all your work inside or out.

W.L. Lyons Brown Library

One of the best places to study is actually on campus. The W.L. Lyons Brown Library has one of the largest collections of resources for students. You can sign in and use one of the computers in the library to access the digital archive or research subjects online, or you can use the books, papers, and other documents housed in the library itself. Librarians working on-site can help you find the exact book you need from more than 115,000 books in the collection. The library bans the use of cell phones inside its doors and has quiet study spaces available too. Hours of operation change throughout the year.

Bellarmine Writing Center

If you find yourself suffering from writer's block or have a hard time figuring out how to start your next paper, stop by the Bellarmine Writing Center. Located in the Academic Resource Center in the library, the writing center is home to peers and professionals who want to help you do your best. The center is open from 12PM – 7PM on Monday, 11AM – 8PM on Tuesday, 11AM – 7PM on Wednesday, 11AM – 3PM on Friday, and from 2PM – 6PM on Sunday. You can also use the online system to schedule an appointment.

Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve

One disadvantage of Bellarmine University off-campus living is that you might feel like you spend too much time inside and in your car driving to campus. That’s why it might be a good idea to enjoy the fresh air of the Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve on your next study break. Open every day from sunrise to just before sunset, the preserve is home to more than two miles of hiking trails, more than 150 species of birds, and plenty of spaces where you can stop and take in the views during breaks from your studying.

Day's Espresso & Coffee

Conveniently located on Bardstown Road in Louisville, Day's Espresso & Coffee is the perfect place to grab a quick cup of coffee as you go over your work for the day. The owners source coffee beans from just four locations and roast those beans to the perfect temperature every day. While it gets a little crowded in the mornings and afternoons, you'll often find a quiet atmosphere in which to study.

No matter where you live or how far you are from campus, you can optimize your academic success by taking advantage of the study spots identified above.
